A Few Projects We're Working On

SOHM Bible Study Project - Bible Studies... weekly 2-3 hour sessions for 30 kids (ages 5-14) in which study, activities, socializing, and skill development (personal and household hygiene, mechanics, construction, agriculture etc.)... Designed to provide social and educational assistance to families through the direct involvement of their children... SOHM Educational Support Project - Educational Center... multi-purpose building with educational classrooms, activity room, bible study, kitchen, meeting rooms, pharmacy, medical exam room, and counseling center for at risk people... Click here for details

SOHM Village Support Project - Widow and Elderly Support... provide bread, milk, eggs, vegetables, and even meat to those needy... Organize transportation to doctors, official meetings, and church as needed... Organize and provide health services, medicines, and assistance with health compensation... Click here for details

SOHM Agricultural Farm Development and Support Project - Farm Management & Animal Health Seminars/Workshops... invited experts and speakers join mission staff to teach others the knowledge and technology use to improve production... Currently providing 5000 kg of wheat to families... Arrangement to farm private fields and provide wheat or bread... Click here for details

Model/demonstration Farm Development - provides for the needy and teaches people to produce for themselves... Currently ??40 hectares and future plans to expand to 150 hectares

Community Films Showings - Educational and Christian films, food, and discussion

Package Distribution - at least annually packages are distributed to needy people in the villages; these include: used and new shoes fitted to the people, cloths, blankets, food, school children supplies including books, backpacks, clothing, shoes

Community Fresh Water - dig and connect high-ground well water to water tanks and ponds as sources of water for humans and animals during times of drought
